PUBLIC WIFI IN CASIGURAN is now ready for students at the start of classes on October 5, 2020.
A power-packed 500 mbps internet connection is being installed inside the Casiguran Gym, which can accommodate 100 students/net users simultaneously wired to online classes, Angel Ayala, municipal information officer, said Sunday.
“Mayor Edwin “Boboy” Hamor has been pursuing the
installation of WIFI inside the gym to lessen the expense burden on students and parents in loading up their mobile phones, laptops, in the upcoming online distance learning amid the pandemic,” Ayala said.
Once the WIFI is on operation mode, students can bring their laptops for research.
Each student- user is given a password and a time-limit equivalent to the length of his online class.
The student will present his class schedule, a condition to prevent users-abuse of internet hours.
Health protocol will be followed such as social, physical distancing, and use of facemask inside the Casiguran Gym.
