Filipino editor’s 7-year old daughter sings Latin high notes, “PIE JESU”, at You Tube

TIGAON, Camarines Sur Province, Philippines – Rachelle Janella S. Natividad, 7-year old girl, can sing the high notes and she has shown this by singing a Latin opera song, “Pie Jesu” (English translation Holy Jesus).

Her father, Joey C. Natividad, senior editor of online news Bicol, decided to place her promising operatic ability on video and posted it at YouTube.

The newsman said he wants to show to the world that opera arias and songs, a cultural domain of Europe, can also be sung by Filipinos.

He is hoping in the near future, Asians and Filipinos might have changing taste and preference for music and may show interest for classical music and the opera.
