OWWA inducts 4 OFW family circle groups in Tigaon, Cam Sur

TIGAON, Camarines Sur – Four OFW groups in Tigaon, Camarines Sur were officially recognized, and their officers inducted by OWWA officials as part of its campaign to reach out to OFWs and their families who want to avail of OWWA/DOLE assistance and benefits.

Given recognition were (Barangay) Poblacion Overseas Beneficiaries Association (POBA), and OFW Family Circle groups in Barangays Talojongon, San Francisco, and Cabalinadan.

These organized groupings also harmonized with LGU-Tigaon PESO (Public Employment and Service Office) target to reach out to OFWs and their families.

Policarpio Malonda of Tigaon PESO delivered the welcome remarks.

Poblacion Barangay Captain Lourdes Pilapil was cited for allowing the use of the barangay hall during the organizing activities prior to the oath-taking event.

Given the oath of office on Sunday (April 29, 2018) were POBA officers Ernesto M. Morte, Jr., President; Monette R. Poniatowski, Vice-President; Nenita B. Macaraig, Secretary; JomaBosito, Treasurer; and Loreta M. Paronda, Auditor; including POBA directors Herbert Victor N. Ramos,Janeth M. Morte, Annilou M. Peraman, Norma L. Bautista, Jose Maria C. Natividad, Jodie B. Valencia, and Emilyn Bautista Rosco.

Also, given the oath were Barangay Talojongon OFW family circle officers led by President Arnel Interino; Barangay San Francisco led by President Carmen DV Carreras, andCabalinadan led by President Nirian Palpayon.

OWWA officer Kay Villamor gave the oath, assisted by Camarines Sur OWWA officer Cherry Mendoza.

Organized OFW officers from other towns also attended the event: OFC Presidents Jocelyn Ibonia of Milaor, Cam Sur; Jennylyn Villar of Pili, Cam Sur; and Irene Villamer of Iriga City. [BicolToday.com]
