Advertisements lord over Sorsogon Kasanggayahan Fest; who will receive ad money?


SORSOGON CITY, 14October 2017 – A number of corporate business advertising dominated the celebration of this year Kasanggayahan Festival.

This was seen in the main venue of the activity, the Capitol compound and on the streets where advertising billboards and tarpaulin dominates the center and the road side of the city.

Marilou Rodriguez, provincial treasurer, reveals that only two (2) company paid the advertising sponsorship in their office. She mentions that Peter Paul Philippine Corporation the one who paid and none other who paid to their office.

This year Kasanggayahan Festival budget is 3 million pesos compared to 2 million last year, as indicated at the 2017 Programmed Appropriation and Obligation by Object of Expenditures under the Provincial Special Program and Project Management Office of the Office of the Governor.

Meanwhile, the provincial tourism office who is in-charge in the preparation of Kasanggayahan Festival has not yet disclosed its budget for this year festivities. []
