CITY OF NAGA, Bicol Region – The National Book Development Board (NBDB) reminds the public to report any discrepancies of pricing of textbooks which will be released for use this opening of classes, BicolToday.com was informed Monday.
NBDB releases a reporting form (see uploaded document) to make it easier for the public to report any textbook overpricing.
According to Graciela Mendoza Cayton, NBDB Executive Director, “pursuant to NBDB’s mandate to ensure an adequate, affordable, and accessible supply of books for all segments of the population, the NBDB enjoins all stakeholders to be more transparent and make the lists of prices of their textbooks available on their respective web sites.
For purposes of further streamlining this effort, NBDB shall be dedicating a page on its web site to a compilation of links to the official web site of publishers where textbook prices can be found, Cayton said.
The NBDB is open to receiving further report regarding disparities between the published price and the selling price of specific textbook.
Please fill out the Report form here. For more information and clarifications, all concerned may contact the Office of the Executive Director at telephone no. (02) 929 3887 local 806 and/or e-mail email@example.com.
