SORSOGON CITY – Sorsogon governor aspirant Robert “Bobet” Lee-Rodrigueza vows to beef up more scholars to study courses on Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Veterinarian Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Development.

“As of now we have existing sponsored scholarship programs in state colleges, and I will give more focus and provide budget for the scholarship programs on these disciplines of learning,” Lee-Rodrigueza said.

“Aside from these, I shall establish a Technical Training Center for every municipality. I will start first where there is an existing state college, under a development concept “Shared governance and share responsibility”, he gave stress.

According to him, TESDA, state college, provincial government and the municipal government are involved as key players.

“Under this concept, once a project area is identified, the concerned municipal government shall provide the land; the provincial government shall provide the building; TESDA will share their equipment; and the state college will provide the professors,” Lee-Rodrigueza said.

“We can train many among the youth, the out-of-school, to finish their technical training, for them to grab opportunities in the province and in the country, even opportunities abroad. By these, we help many students and their families for growth and prosperity,” he vowed. []
