SORSOGON CITY, 29Aug2015 (BicolToday.com) – After securing the endorsement of Congressman Deogracias Ramos in his bid for the governorship, Robert ‘Bobet’ Lee Rodrigueza, may no longer become the alter ego of Governor Raul Lee given the weight of his newest supporter – Loida Nicolas Lewis, who gave her total support to the aspiring governor. Both Nicolas-Lewis and Provincial Administrator Bobet Lee took their oath as party member of the administration Liberal Party together with other local officials Thursday at the party headquarters in Cubao, Quezon City.

The formal entry of Bobet Lee in the administration party is expected by political watchers here after hosting Secretary Mar Roxas when the latter visited the province during the turn-over of police patrol car some time ago to the thirteen municipalities. And the fact that the secretary stood as the godparent of the aspiring Lee in his nuptial.

The multi-millionaire Nicolas-Lewis has now blossomed as a political activist tracing it to the influence of her father and her experience during her six grade year by standing together with her classmate against the setting-up of a girlie bar in the capital town.

Nicolas-Lewis as a social entrepreneur is known to be an advocate for clean government which made her a most sought mind in business, social amelioration programs and had opened the doors of political power for her no non-sense approach among the big leaguers in her adopted country, the US of A. Currently she is part of the Hillary Clinton team eyeing the White House.

As a party member she said that she has an open mind when and how to help and with a grin “if I can extend financial assistance to presidential campaign in America, how much more in our country”, an indication that she is ready to pour in some more millions to the national kitty of the Liberal Party which could cascade down to local party members.

Talking about the younger Lee, she said, that he is ready, well prepared for the administrative weight of the office he is aspiring, he witnessed for a long time the ins and outs of public governance being raise to a political family same as Secretary Manuel Roxas whom she described as the most qualified for the presidency and PNOY who as junior senator was catapulted to the highest office of the land. Co-incidentally the three don’t have the executive experience but were surrounded by executive minds and political governance in their infancy because of their respective family political involvement.

Nicolas-Lewis approach is a far cry from the common agenda of self-serving politicians who lined their pockets on every opportunity available. This was a scant referral to vice-president Binay who is accused of graft because of the anomalous transaction at Makati City during his term as city mayor and the straggle hold of his family on the politics of the premier city.

“This is a far cry from the integrity of Secretary Roxas who during his term at the trade and industry department of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo introduced the now multi-billion Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) that created thousands of jobs. Roxas she said barred his family from dipping their interest to the outsourcing market insulating their name and family that his brainchild was for their interest. The BPO is a big earner for capitalist.

Nicolas-Lewis was in town when she meet the press for a free-wheeling interview that covers a wide ranging issues and impressive was her commitment that human rights should be respected and hates the present state of impunity particularly to members of the press. [BicolToday.com]
