This can be the worst case scenario for the “Fallen 7” starving to restore their sullen personas after they were named as respondent in an anti-graft case and a pending preventive suspension. The eagle’s nest is crumbling so swift that their complacent attitude not to mind the graft case filed by Redentor Lasay couple of years ago is now a guillotine ready to severe their heads from their unsatiable bodies.

Very unlucky for Ma. Charo Dichoso, Nestor Baldon, Rogelio Jebulan Sr., Pedro Ravanilla, Fernando Dave Duran, Roque Divina and Hilario Dioneda for they became the burnt ego of their former political master who mastered their weaknesses near to their graves. Their master Leovic Dioneda, a strongman of wants and desire played his cards of fifteen aces back in 2009, quartering the whole third city council to his game plan. The “fallen seven” is now the remnants in the council.

Their mood is obvious of the mental anguish so opposite from their unassailable posturing years ago for their backs is the man of the hour then. What will they contend now?

Their reputations and the honorableness of their office becomes suspect, they may have brought dishonor to the august hall of the city council for public perception reads how they inch and crawled their wants and needs during their heydays.

They can do a redemptive option by sponsoring an amendment to the grossly disadvantageous memorandum of agreement and understanding which they perfected, wait, isn’t it an admission that they were fools for aggrandizing self to the prejudices of the city government? This is laughable.

They may opt not to attend sessions in tackling development plans so that a quorum can’t be had, or refuse to sign committee reports tackling development agenda’s, a way of telling the new masters, we are still in control here.

Perhaps they may enter another door to settle with a power that be to control the damaged stinging their noses because of the instant case of Lasay? Maybe they can knock again on the LKY doorsteps to solicit its legal minds how to jumpstart their Ombudsman defense to delay the issuance of their preventive suspension. Or they can do a reboot of the “voluntary suspension”?

Their action in the past is now a sad tale of power, or maybe a clear example how politics colored with money ruined a city, even worst perhaps is putting the house down was not in their minds for nary a wink after the act instead a wide grin. Pity for its new members.

Where is the Maestro? Who will it be now? What are his plans? Will he tie them in a political psyche or use them as a leverage to sink their real master? Will the new master cavort with LKY’s food’s? Will he be the right connect to end the miseries of the “Fallen 7”?

The “Fallen 7” political life is hard for re-incarnation, by 2016 the ghost of the common bus terminal and the tricycle terminal will chase them and their genes of foolhardy decisions will drip in their campaign trails. To know that the “honorables” tangoed in a masquerade hall is a stinking broadway not good for a Tony.

Pity the poor for they labored to earn a peso, good to your honor’s for they talk, agree, signs counting the peso.
