NEW SOUTH WALES, Australia – The Ministry of Health of the State of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, has issued a media statement warning nursing graduates in the Philippines of e-mails purportedly coming from nursing directors of St. Vincent’s Hospital and Liverpool Hospital in New South Wales offering false employment opportunities with requests for payment.

A spokesperson for the NSW Health advised recipients of the e-mail scams to disregard said e-mails and refrain from making payments. Nurses looking for employment in Australia are further advised by NSW Health to be cautious in accepting similar job offers which require applicants to pay upfront. []
