TABACO CITY, 25Sept2013 (PNA) – The National Police Commission (Napolcom) Bicol regional office is conducting an annual inspection of Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel in different PNP offices in the province of Albay.
Ricardo Fontanilla, Napolcom Bicol spokesperson, told the PNA Tuesday that the Napolcom inspection team visited the PNP offices in the municipalities of Malinao and Tiwi on Monday to conduct assessment and evaluation of police personnel.
Fontanilla said that during the inspection of the two police offices, they noted a 100-percent attendance, except for one personnel who is on training.
He said the inspection involves proper wearing of uniform, accounting of issued firearms and other government property such as vehicles and other equipment.
Glock 17 pistols have never been issued yet to the personnel of the two PNP offices as the personnel are still require to have a certification of training in using the pistol and that only Camp Crame is the one issuing the certification and distributing the said firearm, Fontanilla clarified.
He said that last week, they had finished inspecting PNP offices in the 3rd and 2nd districts of the province.
The Tabaco and Malilipot police offices are scheduled Tuesday for annual inspection and on Wednesday, the inspection team is scheduled in Bacacay and Sto. Domingo towns.
Fontanilla added that other teams from Napolcom are now also conducting an annual inspection at the province of Camarines Sur.(PNA)
