Bodies retrieved in Cebu sea mishap climbs to 110


MANILA, 4Sept2013 (PNA) – Technical divers continued with search operations on Wednesday morning and fished out one more body in the wreck as a result of the collision between a passenger ship and a cargo vessel in Cebu last Aug. 16.

As of 10:15 am, the Philippine Coast Guard said the number of bodies retrieved from the ill-fated M/V St. Thomas Aquinas 1 has now reached 110, while 27 are still to be accounted for.

The number of rescued remain at 733.

The passenger ship sank when it was hit in its starboard side of M/V Sulpicio Express Siete in Lawis, Ledge, Talisay City.(PNA)
