MANILA, 2Sept2013 (PNA) – PNP-PIO chief Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac said on Monday that two Special Action Force (SAF) officers will be assigned to check on food being served to the alleged pork barrel fund scam mastermind, Janet Lim-Napoles to ensure that she will not be poisoned while detained inside Fort San Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna,
Sindac said that all food brought to Napoles are screened first by the two female SAF security.
“This is being done as a concurrent task of two female SAF security on duty as part of their task,”Sindac said adding that no additional SAF personnel was detailed just for food tasting.
Interior Secretary Mar Roxas earlier said Napoles will be supplied with the same food given to trainees inside the SAF training camp.
Roxas has repeatedly said that there is no special treatment to Napoles and also they wanted to make sure that nothing will happen to Napoles for her to be able to face justice regardless of whether she shares or keep to herself everything she knows about the pork barrel scam.
The PNP said it will keep closer tabs on Napoles’ health following her anxiety attack before dawn Monday.
Sindac said Napoles complained of an anxiety attack due to her claustrophobic disorder.
Claustrophobia is commonly explained in the Internet as an anxiety disorder where one suffers from fear of being in a crowded area, fear of having no escape, and being closed-in, among others. (PNA)
