MANILA, 28Aug2013 – Pres. Benigno Aquino III announced Wednesday a P10 million bounty for the arrest of fugitive businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged brains behind the P10 billion ‘pork barrel’ scam.
“Ten million pesos ang reward for information leading to the arrest of Napoles,” Aquino said at the sidelines of the 8th East Asia Conference on Competition Law and Policy at the Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City.
Aquino also warned those harboring Napoles and her brother Reynald Lim that they would be facing criminal charges.
“Ang harboring of fugitive kaso ‘yun, ang obstruction of justice, kaso din ‘yun… kung akala nila titigilan ang paghahanap, nagkakamali sila. We’re confident, malapit lapit na natin mahahabol ‘yan,” Aquino said.
Napoles and Lim have gone into hiding even before the Department of Justice could serve their arrest warrant.
Aquino said the bounty amount was only for Napoles and does not include Lim.(PNA)
