MANILA, 21Aug2013 (PNA) – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday announced that floods in Metro Manila have started to go down.
But it added that some parts of the City of Manila is still underwater.
As of around 6:15 a.m., MMDA-Metrobase said local government units of Makati, Taguig and Pasay have confirmed that flood waters have generally gone down, except for at least three barangays in Pasay that still have knee-deep waters.
SM City-Sucat is now passable as well as Roxas Boulevard.
In Manila, Lagusnilad is still flooded, as well as Taft-Quirino.
SPO2 Ferdinand Ng of Manila Police District said the roughly 20-feet deep underpass of Lagusnilad is still filled with water which has been flooded since Sunday.
