MANILA, 19Aug2013 (PNA) – Malacanang ordered Monday the suspension of work in government offices in Metro Manila and the suspension of classes in all levels in 13 areas due to strong rains and heavy flooding brought by typhoon ‘Maring’.

In a statement, the Office of the Executive Secretary ordered the suspension of classes in Pangasinan, Benguet, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro and Metro Manila.

“The Executive Secretary has also ordered the suspension of work in the Government Offices in Metro Manila except those involved in disaster risk reduction and management,” the statement said. (PNA)
