LEGAZPI CITY, 6Aug2013 (PNA) – Applicants in the forthcoming Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance and promotional examinations in Bicol can already file their applications through an on-line system recently made available by the National Police Commission (Napolcom).
Rodolfo Santos Jr., the Napolcom regional director, over the weekend said applicants to these examinations, which will be conducted on Oct. 20, can now make use of the On-Line Examination Application Scheduling System which is designed to help eliminate long queues formed with the old walk-in system.
Under this upgraded system, which the Napolcom has brought on the Internet to replace the old snail-paced process, applicants will be pre-processed using information given on-line — which means walk-in applicants or those applications sent by mail will no longer be entertained, Santos said.
The on-line schedules for submission of applications for these examinations, he said, started last July 29 and will last until Wednesday, Aug. 7, for entrants while schedule for those who are applying in the promotional examination will be on Aug. 8-16.
Applicants should request, also on-line, for schedules of the submission of their other documentary requirements which they will do between Aug. 19 and Sept. 13.
“All they have to do is log on to the Napolcom official website, www.napolcom.gov.ph, and accomplish the application form that can be obtained from the same site so that they can be given scheduled appointment for its submission, which will be confirmed through a reply letter to be sent to the email address that the applicant is required to furnish us,” he said.
The applicant should print same reply letter which he/she will submit personally along with the other documentary requirements to the Napolcom regional office at the Government Regional Center in Barangay Rawis here during the given schedule, according to Santos.
All applicants need to personally come to this office on their scheduled day that will be indicated in the confirmation letter, the Napolcom regional chief said, adding that without such letter, an applicant will not be entertained.
Applicants for promotional examination should also come to submit their applications and other requirements in their complete GOA TYPE “B” uniform, he said.
For those who are applying for entrance examination, Ramos said, the requirements include transcript of scholastic records, birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar or the National Statistic Office, two copies of latest 1X1 colored with while background and name tag ID photo and legal-sized window envelop with P9 for mailing stamp, examination fee of P400.
Applicants should be not more than 30 years of age, college graduates in Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5’4” in height for males and 5’2” for females.
Among the requirements for Promotional Examinee are certified true copy of Attested Appointment, plantilla or PNP Absorption Order; Report of Rating/Certification issued by the Napolcom Central Office; Civil Service Certification of Eligibility or Professional Regulatory Commission eligibility; two pieces ID pictures and examination fee of P400 for police officer, P450 for senior police officer, P500 for inspector and P600 for superintendent.
“It should also be understood that acceptance of applications will be based on a first-come, first-served basis as the number of slots is limited,” Ramos added. (PNA)
