MANILA, 25July2013 (PNA) – Two more National Basketball Association stars arrived in the country on Thursday, a day after basketball great LeBron James of the Miami Heat left Manila.
James Harden Jr. of the Houston Rockets; and Eric Ambrose Gordon Jr. of the New Orleans Pelicans, arrived via Philippine Airlines flight 103 at 3:56 a.m. from Los Angeles, California.
Harden and Gordon are in town for the three-day “NBA 3X” event to be held at SM Mall of Asia from Friday to Sunday.
Last Monday afternoon, James, a four-time NBA Most Valuable Player,arrived in Manila for the Nike Philippines’ promotional tour. He left early Wednesday morning.
Other NBA stars that are scheduled to visit the country this year include Los Angeles (LA) Lakers star Kobe Bryant in August, Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls on September, and former NBA great Michael Jordan.
Harden, on the other hand, will return to the country on Oct. 10 as their team will face the Indiana Pacers for an NBA pre-season game at the MOA Arena.(PNA)
