MANILA, 12July2013 – The National Bureau of Investigation is studying whether to include in the investigation some lawmakers being linked to an alleged P10-billion pork barrel scam.
Justice Secretary Leila M. De Lima Friday said the NBI is also considering whether there is a need to issue a look out bulletin against lawmakers who will be found to be involved in the controversy.
However, De Lima said, it will depend on the evaluation of the evidence.
De Lima added to be included in the investigation are the records from the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee which conducted the inquiry on the P728-million fertilizer fund scam in 2008 wherein it summoned businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.
Napoles is the owner of JLN Group of Companies, which is allegedly behind a pork barrel syndicate.
De Lima did not anymore provide other details on the ongoing NBI investigation, especially so she did not know who are the lawmakers being considered to be placed under investigation. (PNA)
