Legazpi, Bacoor cities signed sisterhood pact

LEGAZPI CITY (23-Mar-2013) – Mayor Carmen Geraldine Rosal and Bacoor City Mayor Strike Revilla formally signed a tourism sisterhood relationship on Thursday at the Oriental Hitel in this city.

During the signing ceremony, Rosal said this friendship agreement will facilitate the mutual sharing of knowledge in the field of good governance towards economic prosperity and continuous success of both cities.

The lady chief executive pointed out this friendship agreement is a key factor to improve science and technology, culture and arts, toursim, planning and urban development, commerce/trade and industry, education and sports development, environmental protection, public health and social services and other common concerns in both cities.

For his part, Revilla vowed to adopt the efeective implementation of some programs and projects of Legazpi, one of the most successful cities in the country.

The chief executive of Bacoor also said his administration is very willing to share some programs to Legazpi as part of their agreement.

The sisterhood agreement materialized through Muncipal Resolution No. 101s 2009 that signified Bacoor officials’ intention to establish a relationship with the city government of Legazpi.

On the other hand, Legazpi city council sponsored Resolution No. 0057-2013 acknowledging and accepting the intention of the city governments if Bacoor, Cavite and Legazpi to be partners in governance. [PNA]
