MANILA (17-Dec-2012/PNA) – As help pours to the “Pablo” devastated provinces of Compostela Valley Province and Davao Oriental, Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao told typhoon survivors not to lose hope and just hold on, adding that God is always there to help them.

This the boxing icon appealed over the weekend during his visit to the devastated areas where he gave some P10 million worth of relief goods to the affected families.

“Only God knows what is in store for us in the future and only He can restore everything,” said Pacquiao, who has risen from poverty to become an inspiration to many Filipinos.

Outgoing Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Director General Nicanor Bartolome, also helped distribute relief goods to the victims of “Pablo.

Most of those present were moved by the plight of the typhoon victims including Bartolome who said the police “also have hearts and feelings.”

“Pablo” plowed through Mindanao and Visayas earlier this month, leaving more than 1,000 dead and billions of pesos in damage. (PNA)
