BEIRUT (18-Nov-2012/PNA/Xinhua) – Visiting Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namjoo on Saturday put Tehran’s technological expertise and know-how at Lebanese officials’ disposal to develop energy and water resources in the country, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported.
Namjoo and Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi discussed bilateral relations with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail, according to the NNA.
The Iranian minister disclosed an Iranian blueprint for a prospective water reservoir in Bal’a/Batroun as a part of a trans- western Asian power grid linking Iran to Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
He acknowledged the existence of “serious administrative snags blocking the Iranian project and awaiting to be ironed out.”
Namjoo marketed Iranian firms to the Lebanese government, arguing in favor of their high competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the Iranian minister called on Muslims worldwide to stop Israel in its tracks and liberate the Palestinians. (PNA/Xinhua)
