Village chief in CamSur wounded in slay try

TIGAON, Camarines Sur ( – A barangay captain here was shot and wounded by an unidentified gunman on board a black motorcycle and sped away toward neighboring town of Goa.

The village official, Archimedes Mabana, 52 years old, was rushed to Bicol Medical Center, Naga City.

Police said Mabana, barangay captain of San Antonio, was onboard his motorcycle driving back to his place when he was shot at his back three times, hitting his ribs by the gunman following him on board a motorcycle.

The incident happened late Sunday (Nov. 4) afternoon.

Police are still investigating. []
