CamSur Vice Gov Peña finishes DAP specialize study

PILI, Camarines Sur ( – Vice Governor Fortunato “Ato” Peña, with 22 others, finished his course on Local Governance and Development at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in a graduation ceremony held at Pasig City on August 29, 2012.

The course under the DAP Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM), specially geared for public officials, includes Management for Sustainability; Personal Efficacy and Leadership Development; Organizational Management; Management Analysis and Public Management; Governance and Public Policy; Planning, Contemporary Issues, Public Policy, Economic Development, and Fiscal Administration.

The study offered by DAP to public officials is part of the government program to enhance the knowledge, skills, and expertise of officials in political and public administration.

Before acquiring the DAP course, Vice-Governor Peña has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce major in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Management at the University of Nueva Caceres in Naga City. He took up post-graduate studies in Management at the International Management Development Center of the University of Texas, Austin, Texas, U.S.A.

Vice-Governor Peña also took the course on Program for the Creation of Supportive Environment for Small Entrepreneur on Rural Tourism at the Golda Meier Mount Carmel International Training Center in Haifa, Israel. []
