SORSOGON CITY (BicolToday.com/03-May-2012) – Taking the cue from the results of various national survey’s wherein the popularity of Vice-President Jejomar Binay continues to soar, Governor Raul Lee is casting part of his party machinery to PDP-Laban of the vice-president. This information was revealed by him in a meeting he called to assure Guillermo De Castro his support.

Lee’s group is bound to Legazpi City before noon today to take oath as new members of the Binay’s party. The vice-president will be represented by Sen. Koko Pimentel III who scheduled them for a two o’clock oath taking.

But the governor made it very clear that he is now an independent governor, he resigned as party member of GMA’s Lakas and will only choose which national party to adopt before the deadline of the filing of certificate of candidacy later this October.

Without hiding his political intent by 2013, the governor said that he is not casting all of his political machinery with PDP-Laban, he is also reserving some for a better political intentions. That intention was not revealed though.

What he revealed is that De Castro will become the PDP-Laban standard bearer for the second congressional seat of the province in the mid-term election. De Castro is one of the high profile political personalities trooping to Legazpi City with the governor to take their oath as new members of Binay’s party.

Lee also announced that PCSO Director Ricardo Golpeo may accept the regional chairmanship of the vice-president party.

The division of the house of Governor Lee in terms of party affiliation for his political supporters was evident for the City of Sorsogon was left -out in the formula, it bodes that the not so secret political alliance with the Liberal Party of city Mayor Leovic Dioneda and Congressman Ramos and the Nationalist Peoples Coalition of Senator Francis Escudero still holds with the governor in consideration of bigger political gains.
