The PCG authorities in Masbate said that seven out of the 32 fishermen aboard the ill-fated fishing vessel F/B Hope Christi managed to survive while the 25 others remain missing and are now the subject of the search and rescue operation of the Coast Guard in that province.

The survivors were brought to the nearest hospital in Masbate mainland for medical check-up.
