Daraga mayor surrenders; Judge imposes gag order: ‘No cameras, no photos, no interview’

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Regional Trial Court Branch 10 Judge announced Friday outside the court room that no media interview would be allowed for Daraga Mayor Carlwyn Baldo who reportedly surrendered together with his lawyer to Hon. Theresa San Juan Loquillano at around 9:00 AM, May 10, 2019.

Earlier, Baldo who is facing double murder and frustrated murder cases was declared by the authorities as “fugitive from justice” when court officers serving the arrest failed to find the mayor two days ago.

According to Judge Loquillano, who went out of the court room after the surrender of Baldo; “I am warning the media, no cameras, no photos and no interviews for Mayor Baldo who, seen in public, was under tight security and immediately whisked inside the closed van escorted by CIDG, Police and Jail authorities.

“I will confiscate all your gadgets, if you will not follow my order”, Loquillano told the media.

She sets the hearing of the cases before her sala against Baldo at at 300 PM. [BicolToday.com]
