Story book robbery: 15 masked armed robbers barge into house in Bulan, Sorsogon, on Thursday morning, loot Php 700K, escape on van, motorcycles

BULAN, Sorsogon-  On Thursday morning, a large group of armed robbers, numbering 15 men on board a van and motorcycles, wearing masks and armed with long firearms, forced their way into a residential house and escaped with money worth Php700,000. This was reported to the police, and the robbery story has resemblance to a cheapy movie plot.

This was reported to the police by Antonio Bellen Boncan, 52 years old, Barangay Gate chairman and president of Liga ng mga Barangay, that their ancestral house was robbed on April 25, 7:15 AM, by about, more or less 15 unidentified armed men.

According to police report, “PMAJ Joel C Triñanes, Chief of Police of Bulan MPS in his report to PCOL Marlon C. Tejada, Provincial Director of SOR PPO, at around 1:45 in the morning of said dateand place, a group of unidentified malefactors who were all wearing mask and armed with unknown caliber of long firearms alighted from a white L300 van and motorcycles and entered the residence of the above named victim by forcibly destroying the main door. Once inside, suspects allegedly took and carted away assorted jewelries worth more or less twenty thousand pesos (Php 20,000.00), Two (2) units of android cellphones (Cherry Mobile and Oppo) worth more or less Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php 20,000.00) and cash money amounting to more or less seven hundred thousand pesos (Php700, 000.00).”

Bulan police had investigated and there is no updates about the armed robbery as of press time. [BicolToday.com]
