Drug surrenderee nabbed in Sorsogon City buy-bust

SORSOGON CITY – Not mending his ways, a drug suspect who had previously surrendered to police under Oplan Tokhang was arrested this time in the act of selling an illegal drug to a police-poseur.

Police reported a drug suspect who earlier surrendered under Oplan Tokhang was caught in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint elements of Sorsogon CPS CPDEU and Sorsogon PPO PPDEU, in coordination with PDEA-Sorsogon, at Barangay San Juan, Roro, this city, on Saturday, November 3, at around 10:45PM.

According to PSupt. Carl Joseph B. Jaucian, Sorsogon City police chief, said the suspect, Roger Fernandez Docog aka “Ogie”, 31 years old, single, tricycle driver, resident of place, was arrested after selling/delivering and handed over to police poseur buyer one (1) piece of small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, in exchange of one (1) piece of Php 500.00 bill as buy-bust money.

Lawful search was conducted on the person, in the presence of required witnesses such as media representative and Barangay Officials, that resulted in the confiscation from him of the following items: one (1) small piece brown paper containing another three (3) pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu; One (1) unit Firefly Mobile cellphone color old rose; cash money in different denominations amounting to Php150.00; One (1) piece disposable lighter; and one (1) unit yellow tricycle and a motorcycle Racal 150 in red color bearing plate number 2614EV with one (1) pc of Racal ignition key .

Police said that upon his arrest, the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under Miranda Doctrine, undergone medical/physical examination, and presently under the custody of said station for proper disposition.

The seized and confiscated pieces of evidence will be brought/submitted to the Sorsogon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office, Sorsogon City for Laboratory Examinations. [BicolToday.com]
