Man “one for the road” shot dead inside Sorsogon beer house

SORSOGON CITY – Two men barged into a beer house in Barangay Burabod, this city, Tuesday past midnight and shot and killed a customer who just entered for a “one for the road”.

Killed was Emmanuel Jaudal Estremera a.k.a Maning, 51 years old, single, private employee and a resident of 1382 Garcia St. Brgy. Salog, Sorsogon City.

PSUPT Edison A. Dumangas, police chief of Sorsogon City, said that at around 12:00 AM of October 9, 2018, the victim together with his friend on board a motorcycle proceeded to Cubo Republic beer house, asking owner Jeriel Cervantez Jadie permission to be allowed with his friend inside the said establishment.

When inside, two (2) unidentified men arrived, and the gunman armed with caliber 45 pistol, wearing a black jacket with cap, MOL 5’8 in height and small built shot the victim, hitting him on different parts of his body that resulted in his instantaneous death.

The suspects fled on board of their motorcycle color black Rusi heading towards Diversion Road. The motive of the incident still unknown.

Personnel of Sorsogon City Police Station had launched hot pursuit operations for possible apprehension and identification of the suspects.

The SOCO Team, conducting crime scene investigation, recovered pieces of evidence: nine (9) pcs fired cartridges for cal. 45 pistols, one (1) fired a bullet for cal. 45 were under the custody of SPCLO for ballistic and cross-match examination.

The cadaver of the victim was brought to St Peter Funeral Homes, Brgy. Tugos, Sorsogon City pending autopsy examination. []
