Sorsogon cops collar laborer in drug sting

BULAN, Sorsogon — A 40-year-old fish port laborer landed in jail after operatives this town’s police force and the Provincial Intel Branch pounced on him after selling one heat-sealed sachet containing methamphetamine hydrochloride commonly called shabu to a poseur-buyer July 3 at 10:20 a.m. in Barangay Managa Naga, here, in renewed drive against legal drugs, said chief of police Chief Insp. Jeric Don P. Sadia.

Charged in court for violation of Rep. Act 9165, The Dangerous Drugs Law, was Carlos Gonzales y Gabito, single, of the same barangay who did not resist arrest.

The buy-bust operation was conducted in coordination with the PDEA Region V in Legaspi City. []
