SORSOGON CITY – Misael Larosa, the incoming barangay captain of Sampaloc, this city, who was nabbed in a buy-bust operation Friday, has been in the police watchlist as a “high-profile drug personality” for some time and has a police record for surrendering under Tokhang when it was launched in 2016.

In a report by PSupt Edison Albao Dumangas, city police chief, to the provincial director, PSSupt Marlon C. Tejada, said that “incoming Brgy. Captain of Sampaloc, Sorsogon City MISAEL HEBRES LAROSA alias Boboy/ Cobra, 48 years old, married, and a resident of P-7 Brgy. Sampaloc, Sorsogon City, who was ranked as No. 3 in the Provincial Target List and Leader of Larosa Drug Group (HVT Level 3) was arrested in a buy-bust operation on June 22, 2018, around 4:45 PM at Ballesteros St., Purok 6, Brgy. According to residents who have known Larosa, he has been an active leader of City Mayor Sally Lee when she had launched her program, “ Drug-Free- Sorsogon City”.

Despite Larosa drug-stained record when it was exposed under Tokhang, Larosa won in the barangay election owing to Lee’s support.

On July 2, he was supposed to replace 3- termer barangay captain-father, Retired Police Colonel Medard Larosa, but he would be spending his days in jail.
