Motorcycle-riding gunman pumps bullets into tricycle driver in Sorsogon City

SORSOGON CITY ( — A 42-year-old man was killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen at the city of Sorsogon on June 7, 2018, at around 6:50 in the morning.

The shooting incident happened at Mon Barlin St., Brgy. Almendras Cogon, left a tricycle driver dead who was then identified by police as Danilo Bautista Dolotanara.

According to Police Supt. Edison Dumangas, police chief, the victim was standing beside his parked tricycle in front of his house when he was approached by the suspect wearing stripe t-shirt and cargo shorts, about 5”6 in height, armed with caliber 45 pistol and fired successive shots towards the victim, hitting him on different parts of the body.

After the incident, the gunman rode on a motorcycle color red/black as the getaway vehicle, together with his two (2) conspirators/lookouts heading to Almendras Street, exit to Brgy. Balogo.

The victim was immediately rushed to St. Peter and Paul Hospital for medical attention. but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

The SPCLO SOCO Team led by PCI Josephine M. Clemen was requested for crime scene investigation and recovered the following pieces of evidence to wit: Three (3) pieces cartridges for cal. 45 pistol, Five (5) pieces fired cartridges of the same caliber which were all under SPCLO custody for ballistic examination.

Personnel of Sor CPS MOCACS conducted hot pursuit operation and established checkpoints for possible identification and apprehension of the fleeing suspects. []
