McDonald’s manager in Sorsogon arrested for child abuse

SORSOGON CITY – The manager of McDonald’s Sorsogon branch Wednesday, (November 15, 2017) was arrested by police as ordered by the court to face raps, in two counts, for alleged violation of child abuse law (R.A. 7610).

Arrested by police to face trial was Mark Kevin Perez Leoncito, 25 years old, single, and Manager of McDonald’s Sorsogon Branch.

The arrest was carried out by city police at 2:10 pm at Brgy. Bitan-o, under orders of P/Supt Edison A. Dumangas, city police chief, who acted after receiving the Warrant of Arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Bernardo R. Jimenez of Branch 51.

The warrant order is to arrest suspect Leoncito for violation, in two counts, of RA 7610, dated October 17, 2017, docketed under criminal cases 17-10315C and 17-10316C.

The judge recommended bail bond amounting to one hundred eighty thousand pesos (Php180,000.00) for Leoncito’s temporary liberty.

Police had tagged the McDonald’s manager as Ranked No. 8 Most Wanted Person of Sorsogon City.

The manager was apprised of his constitutional rights in a dialect known and understood by him, and was brought to Sorsogon City Police headquarters for booking, documentation and proper disposition. [BicolToday.com]
