LEGAZPI CITY, 11June2017 ( — Power black out on Tuesday at Sunrise Subdivision, Cruzada here may spark “class suit” due to damages inflicted to homeowners’ appliances allegedly caused by sudden power surge during the repair of defective transformer by linemen of the Albay Power Electric Corp. (APEC).

“We are still investigating circumstances behind the incident, we cant give the official findings yet”, said Pat Gutierrez, head of APEC public affairs department.

Gutierrez said APEC sent technical men to know if there was transformer problem or problems in power lines connecting consumers who are residents of the said high-end subdivision.

Known families & homeowners in the area include former Regional Trial Court Judge: Arnulfo Cabredo & Jose C. Sison.

Famous lawyer known in media circle as Atty. Pogi Almine claimed that his air conditioning unit was damaged & became defective as result of sudden power outage in the area. “I have to buy new one worth P36 thousand, or suffer sleepless warm nights!”.

Almine said: This problem might result to a “class suit” if APEC will just pass it that”. []
