CASIGURAN, Sorsogon, 8May2017 (BicolToday.com) – With health care in mind and deep in his heart immediately available for the poor, Mayor Edwin “Boboy” Hamor, with his wife, Vice Gov. Ester Hamor, led local officials and LGU employees here during the ground breaking ceremony highlighted by the lowering of the time capsule signaling the start of the construction of the P20M two-storey Casiguran Community Hospital funded by Senator Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero.

Hamor said Casiguranons can now heave a sigh of relief with the availability of medicines, adding that even residents of nearby Juban and as far as Magallanes towns can also avail of the services of the hospital even as he urged the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Ramon Escudero to pass a resolution allowing the hospital to cater to the medical needs of residents of said towns.

The hospital, the mayor said, is a dream come true, a realization of the promise made during the campaign and a mute testimony of his administration’s pro-people, pro-God and service oriented governance.

Concluding his statement Hamor said there is only one word Casiguranons need: Cooperation, cooperation and cooperation, no more no less.

Meanwhile, Vice Gov. Ester Hamor said the only way she could help is the procurement of hospital equipment and medicines for free from abroad, particularly Canada and she is more than willing to go there. Together with Municipal Health Officer Dr. Epifania Hallig they will go to said country for the one container of hospital equipment and medicines earlier promised by a group of good Samaritans from Canada.

The hospital will have 60% charity ward and Philhealth ward or with pay. [BicolToday.com]
