LEGAZPI CITY, 16March2017 (BicolToday.com) – There was no clash on Wednesday between NPA member and AFP troops in a village of Capalonga town in Camarines Norte but an innocent farmer was intentionally killed claimed provincial people’s organisation.

In its independent investigation, Camarines Norte People’s Organisation (CNPO) said there was no clash or encounter happened in the vicinity of Sitio Public, Brgy. Itok in Capalonga town.

“The farmer was intentionally killed by elements of 9th IB staying in Brgy. Mactang, Camarines Norte whose commanding officer is SSgt. Hernandez,” CNPO added.

The victim was a farmer with a last name Obina and wrongly accused as NPA member according to CNPO.

“9th ID spokesperson Capt. Joash Pramis’ claim that there was a five-minute gun battle between Army soldiers who were on combat operation against NPA rebel was fabricated,” said CNPO.

The recovered M16 rifle, three magazines and a backpack with personal belongings are part of AFP’s false accusation according to CNPO. [BicolToday.com]
