4 fishermen missing in Sorsogon

SORSOGON CITY, 8Dec2014 (BicolToday.com) —  Four fishermen were reportedly missing in Sorsogon City bay area Sunday afternoon.

In early radio reports, the four fishermen were from Barangay Cambulaga of this city.

According to Cambulaga barangay captain, the missing fishermen identified as Aristole Alipanta, Arles Esmena (both brother-in-laws),  Antonio Jesalva and a certain Esmena.

The victims were on 2 separate fishing boats who went fishing around 1pm Sunday.

Reports said fishermen were fishing in coastal area but did not return home as of presstime.

Relatives are seeking help from authorities to find the missing fishermen.

In an interview, Advincula of coast said, they will conduct a search along coastal areas in Sorsogon bay. It will be recalled that the authorities issued an advisory not to go fishing because of typhoon ruby.

Advicula added the said advisory was not lifted since Sorsogon still under typhoon signal. [BicolToday.com]
